I am not sure what is happening, but the sincerity of the 90s which melted away the cheesiness of the 80s has become a plasticness of the 2000s. Britain has just become consumer junkie / credit craziness. An revised edition of the 80s. I am surprised there isn’t a new ‘yuppy’ phenomena.
For some reason, I look back on my class of 1983 there was something genuine about those people…something idealic. I was 7 at the time, and for some reason all the people were real…genuine. As I moved to another school, I felt the other kids somewhat hollow…and of course as you move to High school, they become even less of a bond and the kids plastic, annoying and selfish.
I still miss the class of 1983 – they had depth, something genuine….
I visited my old school only this year, and for some reason I ran into a lost dog and had it returned. Bizarre, the first time I visit in 27 years and I found this dog…..sometimes things are meant to happen for a reason.
But to the class of 1983…I will be always truly yours.
